Wake Forest, coming off a surprising win over Virginia, could not carry that momentum into Tallahassee.

The Demon Deacons fell behind by 12 points by halftime and were never really in the game after that point.

They actually fell behind by as many as 32 points in the second half despite shooting better than the Seminoles from the field.

Guard Gary Clark lead Wake Forest with 16 points, knocking down four of his six three-point attempts.

Bzdelik took over after the school fired Dino Gaudio, and it looks like they may have made a big mistake.

While they could have fired Gaudio, bringing in Bzdelik appears to have backfired through the first half of the season.

The Demon Deacons aren’t just losing games, but getting blown out by really bad opponents and are just 7-12 on the season.

In their latest game, Wake Forest managed just 39 points against Georgia Tech, which isn’t exactly Duke.

New head coach Jeff Bdzelik said that Woods was suspended so that he can dedicate the necessary time and effort in facing the charges.

The center averaged about five points and three rebounds as a reserve in 31 games last season.

A little more than eight minutes into their second-round NCAA Tournament game on Saturday, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons found themselves in quite a battle with Kentucky.

The Demon Deacons were tied with the top-seeded team in the Eastern Regional at 19. But that’s when leading scorer Al-Farouq Aminu came off the floor after picking up his third foul, and Kentucky took over.

The Wildcats scored 25 of the half’s final 34 points, building a 16-point lead as Wake would go on to lose 90-60, ending its season at 20-11.

The Demon Deacons were run over by a Kentucky team that shot 60 percent from the field, hit 7 3-pointers and held Wake to just 32 percent shooting. Two days after upending Texas in overtime in the first round of the NCAAs, Wake crashed hard in this one.

Aminu finished with 16 points to lead Wake in scoring. C.J. Harris added 11.
